How does it work?

  • In the coming weeks your schools parents council will be sending out videos and helpful links with information on why and how we can protect our children online.

    Sites like www.webwise.ie can be a great resource for parents.

  • Then the South Kildare Schools Smartphone Alliance will be holding an information night to answer any of your concerns or questions.

  • The following day you will receive a survey link from your parents council asking the following simple and most importantly anonymous questions;

    What class your child or children are in?

    Do they have a personal Smartphone or Smart device?

    Will you commit to the Smartphone pact for the coming year?

  • Once the majority of parents have completed the survey your parents council will send out the results outlining the total percentages of the school community committing to the Pact as well as a breakdown by class group.

  • The survey will be sent out annually and your Parents council with the support of the South Kildare Schools Smartphone Alliance will continue to offer support and education around the topic of Smartphone use in under 12’s.
